A Day in the Life

June 9-14, 2013

ARRIVAL
Participants should plan to arrive in Asheville on Sunday, June 9; check-in is 3-5 pm. Dinner is on-campus 5-7 pm. Participants will meet others in their ensembles and read music 7-9 pm.

ACME program begins bright and early on Monday, June 10.
All events and meals take place on the campus of UNC-Asheville.

DAILY SCHEDULE
Breakfast 7:30-9:15 am

New Horizons Music programs provide entry points to music making for adults.

Ensemble rehearsals/coaching 9:30-11:30 am.

Lunch and free time for resting or individual practice
11:30 am-1:30 pm

Ensemble rehearsals/coaching 1:30-5 pm with breaks
Private lessons during afternoon sessions (included in fee)

Supper and free time 5-7 pm

Optional evening activities to include local tours/events; ad lib rehearsals; large ensemble reading sessions

CONCERTS
Thursday, June 13, 7:30 pm Pan Harmonia concert (ACME faculty) in Lipinsky Auditorium Lobby, UNCA

Friday afternoon, June 14, 4:30 pm ACME Final concert by participants

OPTIONAL GROUP DINNER off-campus Friday evening following the final concert

DEPARTURE: Participants will depart after final concert, Friday, June 14, or may book an additional night and depart on Saturday, June 15. Dorm check-out is noon on Friday for those staying 5 nights. There will be storage options for luggage that day. For those staying 6 nights, dorm check-out is noon Saturday.
